Server Issues 2019•06•05

Posted on June 5, 2019 By Jonathan
Listen to this article

I haven’t been writing lately because of server issues. I opened a “ticket” with my host and was told that there was high CPU usage on the shared server that my domain is hosted on.The issue started back on 29 May, 2019.

I have a monitor service set up to email me when my domain goes down. To my surprise, from the 29th of May until yesterday, my shared host failed to load my website over 40 times.

After changing over to a different CMS, that I’ve used for over 2 months now, I didn’t have any issues whatsoever until last week. I’ve attempted to report the issue on numerous occasions and it was brushed off by support as an issue with my website and that out of the other 1K domains on the same server, no one else has reported the same issue.

Here it is a week later and the last time my website went down was at 00:46 on 4 June, 2019. So far all day I haven’t received any more notifications that my website has gone down. I hope whatever was causing my website to fail to load has been rectified and I will not have any further issues.

If you are reading this and tried to access this website in the past week, I apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused by being unavailable.

Rest assured, the app that is available for download from here, after initially downloading and installing, it will work regardless if this website is down. I built it that way as a failsafe, just in case something like this happened.

Have you ever had a service interruption from a web host? How did you manage to fix the problem? Did support for you host believe that there was an issue? I want to hear from you! Let me know in the comment section.
