“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”
Psalms 23:1-3
As humans, we are social creatures. We thrive on connection and community, and when we feel lonely, it can be a difficult and painful experience. But even in the midst of loneliness, we can find comfort and hope in the love and care of our Good Shepherd.
In Psalm 23, David speaks of the Lord as his shepherd, guiding and caring for him in all things. And even when he lies down in green pastures or is led beside still waters, David finds rest and restoration in the presence of the Lord.
So if you are feeling lonely today, know that you are not alone. The Lord is with you, and He is your Good Shepherd, leading and guiding you through every valley and every path. Trust in Him, and find comfort in His presence.
Dear Lord,
Thank You for being my Good Shepherd. When I am feeling lonely and isolated, help me to remember that You are always with me, leading and guiding me through every path. Please give me the strength and courage to trust in You, and to find comfort and hope in Your love and care. Amen.
