I don’t usually take medication unless it is prescribed and necessary.
Just for curiosity I ordered Lumiday and Luminite. My expectations on whither these supplements would actually work wasn’t high. I don’t know when the last time I felt calm, focused, able to sleep soundly, and able to fall back to sleep.
As you, my friends and visitors know, I have anxiety. At work, I’m usually bouncing all over the place, but I get my work done. And not really being able to focus and calmly interact with my coworkers is a drawback.
So, I started searching for a solution. I came across 5-Hydroxytryptophan. 5-HTP for short. It is a precursor that helps the body naturally produce serotonin. As I read up on this ingredient, I was bombarded with ads for different supplements and medication that contained 5-HTP. I searched for just the amino acid supplement online, WalMart, Walgreens, and GNC and discovered that no local retailer carries it.
I found the supplement called Lumiday on the GNC website. I read up on the ingredients as well as searched for reviews. Some people praised it, some people didn’t see any change, and some said it wasn’t worth the money. So, the milage varied. “No big deal,” I though, as I sat at my computer looking at the screen at the reviews. If it works, I’ll just chalk it up as money well spent. So I added Lumiday to my cart. I also noticed the night time sleep aid also by the same company so I added Luminite to my cart and checked out.
So, I hate waiting on shipping and for something to arrive but my order arrived a day early. I looked over the packaging and read the instructions on the bottles. “Here goes nothing,” I thought to myself!
The instructions said to take two pills a day. I figure, if I’m going to see a change. Progress into it. I took one at around 11:30 A.M. after they arrived!
I was asked about cutting the yard at a property over the past weekend. I was going to find someone who cuts grass to do the job. But, spur of the moment, I decided, I’d go cut the grass myself. By the time I was through, it was already starting to get dark.
After I got home, settled in, watched some Youtube, Hulu, and checked my email, I took a Luminite. It wasn’t long until I was felt sleepy. It didn’t take me long until I fell asleep. I woke up in the middle of the morning, still dark outside, and it definitely wasn’t hard to fall back asleep.
Today, when it was time to wake up and go to work, it was the first time in a while I actually felt good. Like I had a good night’s sleep, even though I woke up in the middle of the night.
Before going in to work, I took a Lumiday. I really didn’t know how I would perform at work and I wanted to see if there was a difference in me from before and now.
It was definitely a difference between night and day! I didn’t feel any anxiety. I didn’t lose my temper. I started my day as I normally did, by sweeping the parking lot. When I was done, I headed inside and even though I was still 90 to nothing, I felt calm. I even tried my hand at making orders. I never really tried to learn because my RGM told me that I would always have a cook.
To sum it up, today was great! Here I am, writing this post. I feel tired, but I don’t feel exhausted like I normally do. Maybe Lumiday is the answer.
If you wish to take this journey with me. You can order both Lumiday and Luminite from Amazon at the links in this post where are definitely cheaper than GNC! I found that out, after the fact.
It’s still too early to tell if there is going to be any drastic changes but I’ll post any further results in the next few days.
Everyone is different, reactions to the supplements may vary. Make sure you consult your doctor before taking any medication. I am not responsible if you have any adverse reaction, you may have, to any of the ingredients.
